Teaching

I am going to teach my daughter how to coupon. She only gets $72/month in food stamps, and she has 3 children under 6 at home. The government gives other people I know $600 for 4 people, and $200 something for a pregnant girl, but my daughter can only get $72 b/c my grand-daughter's deadbeat dad is supposed to pay CS and DOESN'T, and her husband let his ex get ALL benefits for his daughter. It's just screwed up~ Anyway, off my soap box now. But I will teach her to coupon so she can stretch her budget as much as possible.

Hopefully my posts here will get better as I get better couponing : )

Any Advice on ADHD

My daughter is on Ritalin....works well during school hours, but before school (at least until meds kick in) and after school....OMG forget about it. Any suggestion on how to help her from being so hyper that it drives me insane!

First Post

Well, I figured I would introduce myself. My name is Tallie. I am currently disabled due to a heart condition, but hopefully I will get to return to work soon. I still have some ongoing heart issues that need further work-up. Saving money as much as possible is my goal right now, especially since my pay is not what I normally have. I have 4 children, 2 still at home, ages 21, 19, 14, and 6. I also have 3 grand-children ages 5, 3, and 1. Even though I am only 36 years old, my step-daughter is now one of my best friends, even though we definitely had a real rocky start. I hope to get advice from other bloggers, and eventually give advice to new bloggers on how to save money while raising a family.
